Why this site sees both sides.
ClickProfits exists because most affiliate advice online is written by people who have only ever stood in one place. I’ve stood in all three.
I’ve been the affiliate
Promoting products, building content, and learning first-hand what actually earns — and what quietly wastes your time.
I’ve managed the program
On the brand side as an affiliate manager: recruiting partners, setting commissions, approving payouts, and fighting fraud.
I’ve built the software
Years spent building affiliate tracking software — the clicks, cookies, postbacks and attribution both sides depend on.
One loop, seen end to end.
Affiliate marketing is a loop. An affiliate sends a visitor, a merchant makes a sale, tracking software decides who gets credited, and a payout closes the circle. Most people only ever touch one part of that loop — so most of the advice out there is half a picture.
I started as an affiliate, promoting other people’s products and learning the hard way which tactics hold up. Later I sat on the other side as an affiliate manager, running programs, recruiting partners and deciding which conversions were real. And in between, I spent years building the tracking software that both sides argue about — so I know exactly why two dashboards disagree, and who’s usually right.
That’s the whole point of ClickProfits: explaining each side honestly, in plain English, with the context you only get from having lived all three roles.
How ClickProfits works
- Information first. Guides and explainers come before any product recommendation.
- Both audiences. Everything is written for either the affiliate or the merchant — and labelled so you know which.
- Honest about money. Some links are affiliate links; recommendations are never influenced by them. See the affiliate disclosure.
